    Restoration Department Specialist

    The Filson Restoration Department (FRD) Specialist is a part of the Product Development team and represents the brand through exceptional customer service within FRD.  This position is an integral part of the restoration process and is responsible for servicing all specialized customer needs within the store. Candidates should possess a creative mindset and have a positive and engaging personality. This person should be comfortable speaking and presenting in various size group settings. In addition, the FRD Specialist will initiate conversations and ask questions based on specific customer needs to deliver a genuine lifestyle brand experience to all customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating strong product knowledge and relating to the Filson lifestyle.
    • Proactively engage customers in the FRD specialization options.
    • Assess and advise customer on the best approach to customizing or repairing various products.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Manage and execute customer requests.
    • Customer contact and follow up through delivery of goods.
    • Ability to proactively trouble-shoot and problem solve.
    • Know how to sew and operate a variety of sewing/operating machines.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school education or GED, required
    • Minimum 3 years of sewing experience. (single needle, walking foot, camatron, bar track)
    • Must have alteration experience
    • Strong outgoing personality and ability to engage with customers and answer customer questions in a manner that reflects the Filson spirit.
    • Creative and artistic ability
    • Computer literacy including proficiency with MS Office applications, strong knowledge of Excel preferred
    • Outstanding communication skills
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
    • Strong detail orientation and thoroughness
    • High degree of flexibility and initiative

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
    • Able to see details within 2 feet.
    • Ability to repetitively push, pull, pinch, grab, reach, twist, push pedal with foot, squeeze with hands.
    • Ability to Rivet.
    • Exposure to dust/dirt/used materials
    • Able to lift 25lbs regularly.
