This is a recruiting department of one and right individual will be comfortable with hands on tasks as well as using a consultative approach with hiring managers to making sure they are bringing on the best talent. This fast-paced role demands someone with a focus on full-cycle recruiting that thrives in quickly changing environments.

The Recruiter is part of a small, but talented HR team reporting to the Human Resources Manager. This role will partner with hiring managers and support Filson to fill talent requisitions in a timely manner. It requires a diverse approach to talent sourcing varying by the different client group they support. An important function of this job is to build a talent pipeline for Filson’s ever growing manufacturing, retail and corporate environments.


  • Manage the full cycle recruiting process for a broad range of positions including roles in manufacturing, corporate, retail and temporary placements.
  • Using a consultative approach, work with hiring managers to confirm each search is on target and results in a strong hire.
  • Develop position advertising, sourcing strategies, and maintains a network of contacts to connect with qualified and diverse candidates.
  • Evaluate the skill level and overall fit of applicants against hiring manager’s needs through sourcing, screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Manages closing processes; creates offer letter/package and manages relocation process as needed.
  • Maintain communication with and provide excellent customer service to candidates and hiring managers as they go through the hiring process.
  • Facilitate temporary hiring though external agencies during holiday season
  • Responsible for the collection and completion of all new hire forms: employment applications, background checks, onboarding forms etc.
  • Responsible for scheduling corporate interviews.



  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a recruiter.
  • Experience sourcing a wide range of positions in apparel or retail industry, with manufacturing and supply chain recruiting a plus.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence while remaining consultative.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Adept at working in unstructured and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience in complex, high volume, fast-paced environment.
