Logistics Program Manager

Filson is looking for an experienced Logistics Professional with strong Logistics, Program/Project Management and written/verbal communication skills to manage, coordinate, and analyze project plans that align with business objectives. This position will be responsible for preparing, collecting, analyzing and maintaining proper project plans and shipping related documentation as well as scheduling, monitoring, auditing and tracking shipments.


  • Responsible for both strategic and tactical Logistics relative projects and initiatives, ensuring on time and within budget completion.
  • Assist in the designing of models for use in evaluating logistics spend and business processes. Analyze shipping costs within this model and margins for improvements.
  • Develop project plans: scope, requirements, schedules, communication plans, risk logs, and any other project documents.
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders across corporate departments.
  • Assist with RFQ, KPI, SLA, SOP, and Country Operating Manual initiatives.
  • Verify and process shipping related paperwork and invoices to include, scheduling, monitoring, and auditing.
  • Data Entry.
  • Work with Small Parcel carrier teams to find information and resolve shipment related issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in LTL/TL, LCL/FCL, Air freight, Small Parcel, Supply Chain, Logistics Operation or other logistics related functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Supply Chain Management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge a plus.
  • Program/Project Management (PMP Certification a plus.)
  • Knowledge of Logistics Program Management and thorough understanding of best practices.
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on business requirements.
  • Experience with MS Office applications, including Excel, Access, Visio, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of the Supply Chain process flow.
  • Basic understanding of import and export laws, regulations and controls.
