Designer – Luggage, Bags and Accessories
This position will be responsible for the design development of Filson luggage, bags and accessories lines.

Responsibilities

  • Research Design ideas for seasonal concepts, within a defined product structure
  • Create/Update seasonal sketches in Adobe Illustrator, complete with materials and color
  • Create/Update Design Handoffs in PLM. Includes creation of initial BOMs
  • Maintain and update Design Boards
  • Attend and record Product Reviews, communicate changes to Team members
  • Partner with Cross Functional Team members

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in Luggage, Bags & Accessories Design. Experience in Product Development/Technical Design a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or Fashion Design
  • Has a strong understanding of the Filson quality, aesthetic and end-use
  • Works with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent work ethics
  • Must be very organized
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in use of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/PLM
  • Knowledge of materials & their performance. Includes leather, fabrics and other materials
