Warehouse Manager

Recruiting for an experienced hands on Logistics and Warehouse Manager with a background in manufacturing and materials. Responsible for the performance of logistics and warehouse operations serving both internal and external customer groups.  Drive efficiencies through continuous improvement across all areas, including inventory control and accuracy.  Ensure timely fulfillment of orders to final destination, including appropriate compliance with all relevant regulations.  Functions will include shipping, receiving, order administration, material control, and inventory management

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely fulfillment of orders to final destination, including appropriate compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Manage and control all warehouse expenditures and ensure conformance to budget and forecast.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, track and improve key performance metrics across the functional departments within the warehouse.
  • Drive best practices for inventory management, reporting, and handling.  Responsible to ensure appropriate control mechanisms are in place and achieve exceptional levels of inventory accuracy, material availability, and service goals. 
  • Develop and manage staff to continuously improve skills and team performance. Maintain cross-training program to assure highly-qualified backups for every function.  Drive a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization.
  • Manage 3rd parties (as applicable) in areas of logistics, trade, and inventory management, including process setup, integration, and performance management.
  • Ensures optimization of all materials management activities including scheduling, purchasing, inventory control and materials movement.
  • Management of inventory levels, on-time shipment of finished goods, warehousing/shipping of goods, customer service and the distribution, receipt and storage of raw materials.
  • Investigates and resolves problems resulting from material shortages and cycle counting activities.
  • Improve operational efficiency in all areas, including cross-functional collaboration with multiple stakeholders for optimal company wide solutions.
  • Partner proactively with development to meet inventory and logistics requirements for all materials.
  • Support other related activities as designated by Supply Chain management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience managing warehouse operations and associated logistics.
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Background in manufacturing and distribution industry highly preferred.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Team leader.
  • Solve problems analytically, search out relevant information and gauge it's importance when making decisions.
  • Ability to translate specific goals into action and follow through to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated skill in process creation, control, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to develop strategies and solutions to meet both short and long-term needs, drive implementation, and continuous improvement.  Ability to communicate and effectively present to all levels of management.
  • Deep knowledge of ERP warehouse management functionality.
