Responsibilities

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager with all inventory related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate movement of goods between manufacturing facilities.
  • Own a small portfolio of vendors to buy goods from and negotiate costing, terms and freight.
  • Support Purchasing Agents to ensure inventory and data accuracy for internal information and reporting.
  • Create, maintain and track purchase orders, follow-up to ensure zero past-due dates and communicate with stake holders to provide most current information.
  • Create, maintain and update transfer orders of raw materials between internal and external factories.
  • Track purchase orders from factories to DC and through the inspection and receiving process, into stock. Communicate anomalies, and raise any concerns with a sense of urgency when affecting customers.
  • Work closely with vendors and factories to prioritize and track purchase orders.
  • Set up new items in the system.
  • Assist with stock adjustments and orders as needed.
  • Follow-up on purchase orders with vendors, freight forwarders, brokers, merchandising and the D.C.
  • Ad hoc data analysis and reporting for development and growth.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Highly accurate, organized, and detail oriented
  • Multi-task oriented, ability to handle many projects all the time
  • Team player, excellent communication skills
